Description:JOB DETAILS:Military Sealift Command Electronic Technician Open to all qualified Departments Include: Communications Supply Engine Deck Must be a United States Citizen of at least 18 years of age and possess: 1. A current U. S. Passport with a minimum of 7 months remaining of expiration date, 2. A current United States Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Mariner's Document (MMD) with a minimum of 10 months remaining of expiration date with the following endorsement(s): Wiper. 3. Must submit a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card with a minimum of 10 months remaining of expiration date, or must submit receipt of TWIC card application and payment. 4. Must meet one of the following requirements: a) Hold a professional certification such as "Certified Industrial Electronics Technician" provided by the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians. (ISCET) OR b) Has documented military time as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician-Electrical (GSE) or equivalent. OR c) Has documented commercial Electronics Technician work history with related industrial electronics experience. OR d) Holds USCG endorsement of Electrician, has sailed as Chief Electrician/ Electrician or Second Electrician, and has documented work history in assisting the Ship's Electronic Technician or in performing electronic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. OR e) Holds an Associate's Degree or higher from a fully accredited institution in an Electrical, Electronics, or Process/Control Discipline. If you are a current or prior federal government employee, you must include a copy of a Notice of Personnel Action (SF-50) that documents your government service. 8. You must provide a copy of Certificate of Discharge (DD214, Member Copy 4) if you served in the U.S. Military Service.
