Shower / Laundry and Clothing Repair Specialist
Laundry and Textile Specialists are primarily responsible for supervising and performing laundry, shower, personnel, and clothing decontamination functions.
Some of your duties as a Laundry and Textile Specialist may include:
- Receive bulk, individual, or organizational laundry
- Review laundry lists for accuracy of bundle count or contents of individual laundry bag
- Segregate, mark washable, and unwashable items
- Operate mobile laundry system, shower units, light duty sewing machine and associated equipment
- Inspect tally, mark, tag, and segregate webbed items
- Alter size, repair uniforms, and zippers
- Operate and maintain sewing, darning, and button machines
