Get training for this job... Find career colleges near you. Description:JOB DETAILS:Army forces use a wide array of weapons, from small arms to field artillery to large ballistic missiles. Most of these weapons have mechanical components and systems that help aim and fire these weapons. It's the Small Arms/Artillery Repairer's responsibility to keep these weapons operating properly. Some of your duties as a Small Arms/Artillery Repairer may include: -Perform Field and Sustainment maintenance on small arms Job training for a Small Arms/Artillery Repairer requires nine weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
